Competition Meeting

Competitions are held on the first Wednesday of each month (except January) and only financial members of GCC may compete. Members are graded to either 'A' Grade or 'B' Grade. Gradings are determined by the committee.

Each month members may submit two mounted prints to the Open section. In addition to the Open Prints section members may submit to the following sections on alternating months:
* Two' Set Subject' images (see syllabus) and two DPI entries and for the first month.
* Three 'Creative/Experimental' images and three slides for the alternate month.

Independant judges are invited to judge and critique. Competitions are a great way to show off your own photographic expertise, while seeing the fine photographic works of our membership. The critique portion of the competition allows members to learn what the photographer did right and how they may have been able to improve the print.
